Skopje, August 2023 – In honor of Mother Teresa, the memorial house of Mother Teresa in Skopje on the occasion of “Days of Mother Teresa” organized an exhibition of works in mosaic technique “Mother Teresa from Skopje to Calcutta” created by the Rector of MTU, academician Izet Zeqiri. This mosaic exhibition is dedicated to the life and activity of Gonxhe Bojaxhiu – Mother Teresa from Skopje.

The director of the NI Mother Teresa Memorial House in Skopje, Mr. Naser Curri, congratulated all the participants for their works with different themes and emphasized that the events organized on the occasion of “Mother Teresa Days” will start from 25 August until 5 September and will be open for all visitors.

Art lecturer Jëlldës Asani elaborated an assessment of the creativity of academician Zeqiri, who said that Izet Zeqiri’s work is an indicator of seriousness, discipline, efforts, proving at the same time that spiritual creativity is inseparable from his life.

In his welcoming speech, Zeqiri emphasized that the figure of Mother Teresa has inspired many creators from the country and the world, including artists, scientific researchers and others, becoming the subject in the daily press and representing the symbol of peace, love and solidarity.

In this event participated the mayor of the City Skopje, Mrs. Danela Arsovska, who said that: “Mother Teresa’s humanitarian works in Skopje, as well as her messages of love, peace and solidarity, may they always be a motivation for each of us.” Being humane with care for those who need it most is our daily motivation and priority – added the mayor of the City of Skopje, Danela Arsovska.

In the mosaic exhibition participated the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Skopje, His Excellency Mr. Florian Qehaja, as well as mayors, lecturers and various art lovers.
