Skopje, November 15, 2022 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Macedonia, organized a presentation on US scholarship programs for MTU students and lecturers. The rector, lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., was also present.

The representative of the US embassy in Skopje, Gazmend Ilazi, stated that the scholarships awarded by the US government are a good study opportunity for students and academic staff.

Ilazi added that the US scholarships enable students to study at one of the US universities for a whole semester, and there are scholarships for postgraduate studies as well. Ilazi announced that the scholarships also apply to students who have applied for a master’s or doctoral degree and want to do research related to their master’s and doctoral subjects of interest. The scholarships cover all costs for a US visa, airfare, accommodation, and food.

The rector, lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ilazi and the US Embassy for the great opportunity for the students and lecturers of MTU and his appreciation for the necessary opportunity for us as a new university. Rector Zeqiri encouraged students and academic staff to apply and take advantage of the unique educational opportunity.

The presentation was followed by Q&A and the interest was very high.
