Skopje, June 20, 2024 – Today, Mother Teresa University in Skopje solemnly organized the 2024 Graduation of the sixth generation of graduates, thus crowning their tireless four-year study.

On this occasion, the Rector of MTU, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., in his presentation to the audience, stated that today’s ceremony is the best proof that we are successful, we are on the right path, we are growing slowly but surely, and we are developing in all directions.

“Nothing is built in a day, while universities are the most complicated institutions to establish because they require qualified staff, optimal study conditions, sacrifice, and permanent commitment, and we are trying to do all these as best as possible. Today, we are in our home, with renovated buildings by institutions and by our donor friends, and these premises partially cover our needs for our smooth academic work. However, as the years pass and the number of students continues to grow, from nearly 5,000 enrolled students, and with 800 to 1,000 expected to enroll for the next academic year, we will need new premises, and this situation will be challenging for us”.

Rector Zeqiri also congratulated the graduates saying that “wherever you decide to build their careers, be at the forefront of processes, be company managers, at least aspire there, because you owe this to your parents and the future generations, i.e., do your best for the generations that did not have the luck to study in any language but gave of themselves everything they had so that we can have the best of luck; we owe it to them to turn their pain into glory and pride”.

MTU President of the Senate, Lecturer Zoran Gacovski, Ph.D., added: “I would like you to continue your career in our country, to contribute to the progress and success of our economy. I believe that every company would like to hire you in their ranks. The future belongs to those who work hard and invest in their education. The road to success never ends – we must always improve and gain experience”.

This year’s ceremony was moderated by Ass. Prof. Arta Xhelili, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Education at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje.

In this year’s graduation, the top five students from the MTU faculties were announced: from the Faculty of Informatics, Teurat Murtezai, with an average grade of 8.7; from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Aurora Marku with an average grade of 8.8; from the Faculty of Technological Sciences, Zilejhan Mamuti with an average grade of 9.62; from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Viktorija Mladenovska with an average grade of 9.74; and, from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Anesa Ismailoska with an average grade of 9.9.
