Skopje, September 30, 2025 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje successfully concluded the second day of its two-day institutional capacity-building seminar, with the entire academic staff participating, along with domestic and international experts.

The second day of the seminar began with an opening speech by the Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with the practical skills and competencies demanded by the labor market, as well as the key role of alumni networks and strategic partnerships in enhancing academic programs.

Following this, attendees had the opportunity to hear a welcome address by the President of the Quality Assurance Agency, Ms. Kristina Serafimoska, who highlighted the necessity of strengthening internal quality mechanisms and the importance of aligning national standards with European ones.

The following sessions focused on curriculum analysis and planning, integration of practical and soft skills, and incorporating scientific research as a core competency for students. Lecturer Bukurije Imeri, Ph.D., addressed the new standards and interdisciplinary elements in academic programs, while Ms. Pranvera Kasami led a hands-on workshop on skills assessment.

The remainder of the day focused on the role of alumni and strategic partnerships, analysis of alumni network data, identification of key employers, and the development of concrete plans to improve academic programs. Each faculty developed its own action plan for modernizing their curricula and preparing students for the global labor market.

The seminar marks a significant step towards enhancing academic quality and preparing students for the challenges of the future.
