Skopje, November 2025 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., welcomed representatives of the World Bank in his office, led by Ms. Bojana Naceva, Senior Education Specialist and Task Team Leader at the World Bank.
During the meeting, Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., informed the guests about the latest developments at MTU, highlighting the University’s continuous efforts to modernize study programs, advance scientific research, and improve academic infrastructure. He also shared his views on the current challenges higher education is facing in the country, emphasizing the need for institutional support and international cooperation to enhance the quality and competitiveness of educational institutions.
The meeting took place as part of the Implementation Support Mission (November 3–7, 2025), within the framework of the Primary Education Improvement Project and the Western Balkans Education Program (PASA).
Discussions focused on the challenges in higher education, infrastructure development, teacher training, and the use of new technologies in the educational process, as well as on opportunities to expand cooperation with the World Bank in the fields of education and innovation.
