Skopje, December 12, 2025 – Today, the Faculty of Technological Sciences at Mother TeresaUniversity in Skopje organized the launch of two significant books authored by the former MTU Rector, Lecturer Aziz Pollozhani, Ph.D.
Both works, addressing important and contemporary topics in ethics within the fields of healthcare and technology, have been published in two languages: in Albanian, “Sfidat e reja në etikën shëndetësore,” and in Macedonian, “Новите предизвици во медицинската етика” (“New Challenges in Medical Ethics”).
The event of the book launching was attended by academic figures, lecturers, and students, as well as the reviewers of the works, who highlighted the importance of the publications for the development of contemporary ethical thought and the advancement of responsible practices in science and society.
The Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., in his welcoming address, emphasized that such publications represent a significant contribution to enriching academic literature, especially at a time when rapid technological transformations require continuous reevaluation of ethical standards in healthcare and other scientific fields.
The reviewers, Full Prof. Dragan Danilovski, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Avni Avdiu, Ph.D., praised the high scientific level of both works, the author’s analytical approaches, and the relevance of addressing topics that confront new professional, human, and legal dilemmas.
The editor of the publications, Assoc. Prof. Olga Popovska, Ph.D., highlighted the author’s professionalism, the coherence of the book structures, and the essential message that encourages the cultivation of an ethical culture within healthcare and technological institutions.
In his closing remarks, the former MTU Rector and author of the scholarly works, Lecturer Aziz Pollozhani, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to the attendees. He presented an overview of the central ideas of the books, emphasizing that the primary challenge of the contemporary era is finding a balance between technological advancement and the authentic principles of healthcare ethics. According to him, this harmonization is a crucial necessity for building a sustainable and responsible future.
