Skopje, December 25, 2025 – Today, Mother Teresa University in Skopje and the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, responsible for good governance policies, signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation and increasing transparency.

The Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., was accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Finance, Investments, and Development, Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D. The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies, Mr. Arben Fetai, was accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Deniz Memedi, Ph.D.

The memorandum marks the beginning of close cooperation, the main objectives of which are providing professional internships for students, engaging experts from the academic staff and vice versa, joint projects for the implementation of research activities, and training aimed at increasing institutional integrity and the efficiency of public administration.

MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., emphasized that this partnership represents a new opportunity for students and for the scientific potential of universities to serve the state. Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Arben Fetai stated that cooperation with the academic community is essential for creating a transparent and accountable system of governance.

The memorandum demonstrated the willingness of both parties to develop a common area of action, paving the way for the conclusion of specific agreements that will regulate future projects based on the available resources.
