Skopje, July 1, 2025 – On this day, at the premises of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, an official meeting was held, which was followed by a ceremony for the signing of a cooperation agreement between MTU, under the leadership of the Rector, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., and Kadri Zeka Public University of Gjilan, represented by its Rector, Lecturer Artan Dërmaku, Ph.D., with the aim of strengthening the academic and scientific ties between the two higher education institutions.

The agreement was signed in the presence of representatives from both universities, including the Vice-Rector for Education of MTU, Assoc. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D.; the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D.; and Mr. Pishtar Lutfiu, Secretary General of MTU, while Kadri Zeka University of Gjilan was represented by Lecturer Shpresa Qamili, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Education, and Lecturer Naim Mustafa, Ph.D., Member of the university’s Senate and part of the academic staff.

The agreement aims to create a sustainable basis for mutual cooperation in important areas such as the exchange of academic staff and students, cooperation in research and scientific projects, joint organization of conferences, workshops, and seminars, promotion of academic publications and literature in the Albanian language, especially in the field of IT, and mutual support in increasing the quality of education and innovation.

This partnership represents an important step towards connecting the two universities in the region to create a common academic space aimed at strengthening research capacities and qualitative preparation of new generations.
