Skopje, November 2025 – Food Technology program students at the Faculty of Technological Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje attended a practical lecture delivered by Bashak Kyçykçakan Nikolovska, Ph.D., Quality and Food Safety Coordinator at Apetit Group – Skopje meat processing company.
The aim of the lecture was to provide students with direct insight into real-world processes in the food industry and the challenges associated with production and quality control in the sector.
The presentation covered key processes for monitoring quality, methods for controlling critical parameters in maintaining the cold chain during meat processing, and national and international food safety standards applied in modern industry.
Quality control and food safety are fundamental to every technological process in the food industry, ensuring the protection of consumer health, increasing trust in products, and improving market competitiveness.
The collaboration between the university and the industry is especially significant for the professional development of students. Through activities such as this one, they gain practical experience, understand the real dimensions of the production process, and interact with experts in the field who apply advanced professional standards, which is to enable them to be competent and ready for the labor market in the near future.
