MODERN TOOL FOR FASTER ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND UNIVERSITY SERVICES

Today, Mother Teresa University in Skopje presented its virtual assistant Mother Teresa, an innovative artificial intelligence platform designed to provide support and guidance to students, academic staff, and visitors in three languages: Albanian, Macedonian, and English.

The virtual assistant was introduced at a formal event on the premises at MTU, attended by representatives of institutions, lecturers, students, and media. The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Ms. Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri, and the Deputy Minister of Sports, Ms. Safije Sadiki-Shahini.

The event was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Genta Spahiu Mirzo, Ph.D., who emphasized the importance of the project as a step towards digitalization of university services and facilitating access to academic information and procedures.

MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., in his welcoming speech, highlighted:
“With Mother Teresa virtual assistant, MTU enters a new phase of digital transformation. The goal is for every student and every staff member to have immediate access to information, with no barriers and no delays. The tool is to improve communication, increase efficiency, and bring the university closer to the most advanced international standards.”

He added that the implementation of the platform is important not only for information but also for strengthening the culture of communication and transparency within the institution, stating:
“This digital assistant is not just a new technology; it is a sign of our commitment to serve students with quality and responsibility.”

Mother Teresa virtual assistant has been created to provide quick access to academic and administrative information, to simplify navigation through university services, and to facilitate the use of academic platforms.

MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., conducted a practical demonstration, too, during which students and academic staff had the opportunity to interact directly with the virtual assistant, test its functionalities, and ask questions. This generated lively interactive participation, interest, and constructive discussion about the benefits the platform brings to the academic structures of the university.

MTU emphasizes that the virtual assistant is only the beginning of a new phase of innovation and digitalization in student services and academic staff support.
