Skopje, April 2026 – Students from the study programs in Criminology, as well as Customs, Freight Forwarding, and Insurance at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, carried out a study visit to the K9 Unit at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia. The visit was organized under the leadership of Full Prof. Naser Etemi, Ph.D.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to closely observe the operational capabilities and skills of the dogs used for search operations, the process of their training, as well as the preparation of officers who handle these special units.

As part of the practical demonstrations, the students followed the methods of searching and identifying narcotic substances, weapons, explosive materials, as well as operations for search and rescue missions. The role of these units in managing protests and securing high-risk events was also presented.

The experience served as a bridge between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in the field of security and defense.
