Skopje, May 2025 – Within the framework of the course Applied Customs and Freight, a group of students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje made a study visit to the Customs Administration of North Macedonia and Fersped AD Company for International and Local Freight Forwarding.

The visit was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Lecturer Neritan Turkesi, Ph.D., and Professor Zija Zimeri, a customs expert with over 20 years of experience.

The students were warmly welcomed by the managers and representatives of both institutions, who gave them a clear insight into the real processes of customs clearance and the practical work of freight forwarding, creating a direct and extremely useful experience for their professional formation.

The visit enabled the students an opportunity to get up close and personal with customs procedures and documentation, goods control and customs declarations, logistics organization, and the transport chain. Moreover, during the visit, opportunities for deepening institutional cooperation were discussed, and a Memorandum of Cooperation between MTU and these two important institutions is expected to be signed soon.
