Skopje, July 2025 – At the invitation of the U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia, H.E. Ms. Angela Price Aggeler, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., participated in the official ceremony commemorating the 249th anniversary of the independence of the United States.

The event took place at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje and was attended by senior representatives from the diplomatic, institutional, and academic communities.

The participation of MTU Rector, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., alongside the Rector of the University of Tetovo, Lecturer Jusuf Zejneli, Ph.D., in the ceremony symbolizes the close relationship and cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the country Mother Teresa University in Skopje and the University of Tetova—with international institutions, particularly in promoting the values of democracy, quality education, and intercultural partnership.

MTU Rector, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., expressed gratitude for the invitation and appreciated the role of the U.S. Embassy in supporting educational reforms and development in the country and the region.
