Tirana, September 26, 2025– The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., participated in the 20. Annual International Jubilee Meeting titled “The Contribution of the Scientific Diaspora to Integration into the European Research Area and National Higher Education,” organized by the Alb-Shkenca Institute in cooperation with the Academy of Sciences of Albania and the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana.

Rector, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., was accompanied by the Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D.; the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Lecturer Mustafa Ibrahimi, Ph.D.; and Mr. Driton Zendeli.

The MTU delegation, led by Rector Fetaji, took part in the opening panel, where research papers were presented into three categories of scientific panels. The first panel focused on the topic “Scientific Research Before the Development of Higher Education: The Role and Contribution of the Albanian Scientific Diaspora in Integration into the European Research and Education Area;” the second panel discussed “Support of Research Institutions for Development Priorities;” and the third panel addressed “Scientific Research and the Challenges of Albanology in the 21st Century: Tradition and Innovation.”

The participation of the MTU delegation in this scientific forum clearly demonstrates the University’s commitment to strengthening research capacities and actively contributing to the development of international scientific cooperation, as well as the integration of Albanian higher education and scientific research into the European space.
