Istanbul, October 16–17, 2025 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by Full Prof. Zoran Trifunov, Ph.D.; Assoc. Prof. Monika Lutovska, Ph.D.; and Ass. Prof. Vladimir Kitanoski, Ph.D., participated in the two-day international meeting of the HEI2MARKET project, held at Marmara University in Istanbul and organized by the Nanotechnology and Biomaterials Application and Research Center (NBUAM).

The HEI2MARKET project, implemented within the EIT HEI initiative, aims to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurial capacities of higher education institutions through collaboration with the business and industrial sectors, as well as through developing sustainable strategies for knowledge and innovation transfer.

The international meeting addressed topics related to the project’s progress and results to date, communication and dissemination strategies, sharing experiences from previous EIT HEI projects, and planning training courses to develop academic and innovation capacities.

The participation of Mother Teresa University in Skopje in the event represents an important step toward internationalization, innovation, and connecting academia with the labor market, highlighting UMT’s active role in European higher education networks and in strengthening international academic cooperation.
