Čačak, Serbia, October 20, 2025 – A delegation from Mother Teresa University in Skopje, led by the Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., along with the President of the Senate, Assoc. Prof. Olivera Petrovska, Ph.D., as well as lecturers, assistants, and seven students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, together with Mr. Driton Zendeli, paid an official visit to UNIPROMET prestigious company in Čačak, Serbia, where a memorandum for strategic cooperation between the two institutions was signed.
The memorandum was signed by Ms. Žaklina Bojović, owner and CEO of UNIPROMET, also the Chair of the Employers’ Board at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak. The agreement establishes a strong bridge between the academic community and the industrial sector, laying solid foundations for the practical and professional training of MTU students.
The collaboration is not merely a formal agreement but a concrete and long-term commitment that offers new opportunities for academic, research, and professional development. The main benefits of the memorandum include:
· Advanced professional internships, with UNIPROMET providing high-quality practical opportunities for students of both first and second cycle studies, allowing them real-world experience in a modern industrial environment;
· Training and professional development, through jointly organized trainings for MTU academic staff and students, aimed at enhancing technical knowledge and adopting cutting-edge industry practices;
· Access to research resources, whereby MTU students and researchers will have the opportunity to conduct scientific research in UNIPROMET’s laboratories and using its modern equipment, linking theory with applied research;
· Partnership in international projects, where both parties committed to cooperate as strategic partners in applying for international projects such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other European funds, with the goal of increasing innovation and research capacities.
MTU delegation was warmly welcomed and highly appreciated by the management of UNIPROMET, demonstrating the seriousness and shared desire for a fruitful and long-term collaboration.
This memorandum represents a significant step toward integrating the Faculty of Technical Sciences into the international labor market, as well as strengthening the connection between higher education, innovation, and industry.
