FOCUS ON ACADEMIC COOPERATION AND EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN SCIENCE

Skopje, October 2025 — Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in collaboration with the Association for Women in Science, welcomed a delegation from the Turkish government, led by Member of Parliament Mrs. Rukiye Toy.

The delegation was received by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Assist. Prof. Arta Xhelili, Ph.D., and Prof. Assist. Elisabeta Bajrami Ollogu, Ph.D.

The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Leyla Özcan, Mrs. Emine Çakır, and Mr. Hasan Hüseyin Karakaş. A fruitful discussion was held on strengthening cooperation between MTU and Turkish institutions, focusing on networking for women in their careers, promoting gender equality, and developing joint academic and cultural projects.

The meeting was characterized by a spirit of understanding and readiness to build lasting bridges of cooperation in the field of higher education and in strengthening the role of women in science and society.
