Skopje, November 2025 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje organized a themed debate with students focused on issues of external influence, digital security, and media literacy as part of activities aimed at raising awareness about the safe and critical use of the online space.

The event, titled “Youth in Focus: External Influence, Media, and Digital Security,” brought valuable discussions on the challenges resulting from misinformation, anonymous profiles, and unreliable sources of information, which affect the young forming their social and political perceptions.

The invited panelists, MTU lecturer Assoc. Prof. Enver Abdullahu, Ph.D.; Mr. Sasho Bogdanovski from the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services; Mr. Sevdali Selmani from the National Computer Incident Response Center; and Mr. Avdi Bakiu, a journalist, addressed topics such as media regulation, spread of misinformation, cybersecurity, and principles of responsible guidance in the digital environment.

The event was carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Communication Studies and coordinated by MTU academic staff, specifically by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof. Aleksandar Petkovski, Ph.D., and Asst. Prof. Deniz Memedi, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The event was part of the Media Education Days 2025, affirming the commitment of Mother Teresa University in Skopje to promote a culture of critical information, media literacy, and digital skills among its students.
