Promotion of the book “Formation of the foreign policy of the European Union- with special emphasis on the Republic of Northern Macedonia” written by Prof. Dr. Enver Abdullahi.
Skopje, 10.05.2021- Today professor Enver Abdullahi promoted the book “Formation of the foreign policy of the European Union- with special emphasis on the Republic of Northern Macedonia” among his colleagues, students and friends, at MTU. This event was organized on 9 May and the date marks the Europe Day.
Rector of MTU Lecturer Aziz Pollozhani Ph.D. said that the selected topic regarding the book is an actual topic nowadays, and MTU is marking this day, as a day to be remembered by the new generations, because since reaching an agreement on the establishment of the EU, for the first time in Europe we have peace that lasts 75 years.
The reviewers Avni Avdiu dhe Agron Kurtishi claimed that the book includes a detailed analysis of the EU foreign policy which is new and with shortcomings, while the work on this specific topic is a contribution to the Albanian literature.
Moreover, a welcome speech was given by the vice rector of MTU, Prof. Dr. Rizvan Sulejmani, and the director of the Agency for the implementation of languages, Prof.Dr. Ylber Sela, while the promoter was Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ibrahimi.
Author Enver Abdullahi, in his speech thanked the participants and explained that in his book he tried to elaborate a very complex topic such as the founding of the EU itself, and then the creation of a single EU policy, that is considered as model of world peace.
Prof. Dr. Enver Abdullahi has diplomatic and academic experience. He was the Ambassador of North Macedonia in Norway from 2011 until 2015. Currently, he is part of the academic staff at “Mother Teresa” University, where he teaches these courses: “European Identity and Culture”, “EU Foreign Policy”, “Globalization and Social Change”.
Professor Abdullahi completed his pre-doctoral studies in London, and his doctorate at St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Apart from being an ambassador in Norway, he has also worked at the Linguistic Institute in London.
Mother Teresa University in Skopje has published a total of 15 academic books.
