Skopje, December 2022 – Second-year and fourth-year students of the Work And Environment Protection Engineering study program at the Faculty of Technical Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje made a study visit to the Skopje Hydrometeorological Service Institute under the mentorship of Lecturer Urime Demiri Shaipi, Ph.D.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of the Department of Water Quality and Department of Meteorological Monitoring. Meteorologist Elena Paneva Gjorgjievski informed the students in detail about the work of the Department of Meteorology, specifically about the equipment and procedures for measuring meteorological parameters and the weather forecast.

Sheriban Ramani, Ph.D., head of the Department of Water Quality, and Vesna Kečovska, M.A., biologist, paid particular attention to laboratory measurements and physicochemical analyzes for monitoring and evaluation of surface water quality.

Apart from building academic skills, the study visit was aimed at developing communication skills and real problem-solving skills that can only be acquired through practice i.e., the exhibition of the students.
