Skopje, March 13, 2024 – A commemorative session was held on the premises of Mother Teresa University in Skopje today. At the session, colleagues and family members paid their last respects to Lecturer Mile Srbinovski, Ph.D., who died on March 10.

“His passing is a loss for the colleagues and students of the Technical Faculty, as he taught the Work and Environment Protection Engineering Department,” stated MTU Rector, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., in his speech.

“Coworker Mile was a great man above all, he had a big heart, he was a true gentleman, an expert, a person who dedicated his whole life to education,” Rectir Zeqiri stated.

The Dean of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. NeritanTurkeshi, Ph.D., stated in his speech that Lecturer Mile Srbinovski was the only professor who taught environmental protection.

“The Faculty of Technical Sciences is vacant today without coworker Mile, a rare expert, a good friend and coworker, a fantastic lecturer,” Turkesi explained.

The president of the Senate, Lecturer Susana Jordanovska, Ph.D., mentioned that she had worked with Lecturer Mile Srbinovski throughout her career and, as two biologists, they collaborated on many projects.

“He was a man who devoted his whole life to science, while students meant everything to him. His sudden death is a very difficult loss for us who cooperated and communicated with him on a daily basis,” Jordanovska explained.

Mrs. Srbinovska and her two daughters were part of the commemorative session. She expressed her being honored for the commemorative session dedicated to her husband and she donated a significant number of his books to the MTU library.
