Croatia/Skopje, June 24, 2024 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., and the Rector of the University of Rijeka, Lecturer Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.

The Memorandum aims to create and support bilateral cooperation between the two higher education institutions, according to which the collaboration between MTU and the University of Rijeka is to aim at the exchange of academic staff, the exchange of students, joint educational and research activities through international projects, symposia, conferences, and other scientific activities, as well as implementation of joint programs of first and second cycle academic degrees, direct recognition of diplomas issued by the signatory countries, and participation in sports and cultural events.

Furthermore, rectors Zeqiri and Prijić-Samaržija discussed the functioning of the two higher education institutions and the differences between the two universities’ study programs, and have agreed on the commitment to academic advancement between the two institutions.
