Skopje, August 22, 2024 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., today welcomed the Deputy President of the Government in charge of Good Governance, Mr. Arben Fetai.
During the working meeting, the Deputy President of the Government, Mr. Fetai, congratulated Rector Zeqiri on MTU achievements, offering him institutional support for the further consolidation of MTU.
Rector Zeqiri expressed gratitude to Mr. Fetai for the visit and congratulated him on his important position in the executive power while informing him about the study programs offered by Mother Teresa University in Skopje.
“At the meeting, we focused on the information about Mother Teresa University in Skopje, its work and study conditions, its management, quality assurance, and its networking with international universities, taking into consideration the experiences of the Deputy President of the Government and the help he will give in terms of cooperation with the Belgian universities,” stated Rector Zeqiri in the media press after the meeting. Rector Zeqiri added that the current affairs in the country’s higher education were also discussed. The Deputy President of the Government, Mr. Arben Fetai, stated that he visited MTU to get an insight into the university’s working conditions.
“I am glad to see visible progress considering the initial conditions from which the University started in the new facilities two years ago. It is obvious that a lot of continuous work has been done, especially in the infrastructure of the University, where the conditions seem quite good, executed with quality, and supported and monitored by the Rector,” stated Mr. Fetai, adding that they discussed reforms and general management of the university as well.
Mr. Fetai promised that, as a former student of the University of Brussels, he will help connect MTU with the universities in Belgium and other European countries and that a joint visit will soon be organized within the framework of the exchange programs of staff and students of European universities, especially the University of Brussels, in the European capital.
