Skopje, February 3, 2026 – Today, at the premises of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in collaboration with the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia, a public educational lecture was held on the importance and process of voluntary blood donation. The lecture was led by Red Cross activist from the Chair branch, Ms. Sara Tairi.
During this awareness-raising campaign, the Rector of MTU, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., congratulated the organizers for the humanitarian initiative, emphasizing that MTU remains an environment that promotes not only science, but also altruism. He wished success to the students and staff on this path of humanity, expressing hope that this very activity would serve as inspiration for continuous social engagement and interpersonal solidarity.
As part of the lecture, attendees were thoroughly informed about the necessity of blood donation, the clarification of common concerns and misconceptions, as well as the numerous health benefits that this process brings to the donors themselves.
The discussion sparked strong interest among the students, who were invited to take part in the major blood donation campaign scheduled to take place on February 11, 2026 at the campus of Mother Teresa University in Skopje.
