Croatia, September 23, 2026 – The delegation from Mother Teresa University in Skopje, represented by Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D.; Vice-Rector Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D.; Full Prof. Zoran Trifunov, Ph.D.; and Full Prof. Vladimir Kitanovski, Ph.D.; participated, within the framework of the HEI2MARKET project, in 24th IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY 2026), held from September 23 to 25 in Pula, Croatia.
At the conference, the MTU delegation also presented NET-SENTINEL, an innovation developed by Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., for which the application has been published and approved as a patent in India and accepted in all G8 developed countries worldwide, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
NET-SENTINEL is a Google Chrome browser extension developed in accordance with the Manifest V3 standard. It uses machine learning to analyze network activity, recognize common usage patterns, and identify unusual behavior or suspicious connections in real time. The solution combines an adaptive statistical detector with the Isolation Forest model, provides explainable alerts, adjusts the detection threshold according to the user, and stores data locally on the device.
During the conference, representatives of MTU held discussions with University of Óbuda in Budapest, Hungary, and University North in Varaždin, Croatia. The discussions focused on the possibility of MTU joining them as a partner and taking over the organization of the next edition of the conference, in cooperation with these universities.
