He has participated in several projects within various programs such as Erasmus and other national and international research projects. He has published more than 70 scientific papers in international conferences, most of them in IEEE and ACM and more than 20 international journals, some of them with ISI Web of Science impact factor. He has published two books.

Sani Demiri holds the position of Vice Rector for Science at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, North Macedonia, appointed in December 2025, following his prior service as Dean of the Faculty of Technological Sciences from 2017 across two mandates.Academic QualificationsProfessor Demiri earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (1992–1996), followed by a Master of Science in Chemistry and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Chemistry from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (2006–2012). His dissertation examined the chemical deposition and characterization of inorganic electrochromic thin films, establishing a foundation in advanced materials research.Professional TrajectoryFrom 2012 to 2016, he served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey, delivering graduate-level instruction in advanced materials chemistry and energy sustainability. This international academic engagement preceded his leadership roles in North Macedonian higher education.Scholarly and Administrative ImpactDemiri spearheads energy research initiatives in Macedonia, coordinating events via MEF to foster advancements in sustainable technologies, materials chemistry, and renewable energy systems.
