Skopje, June 2026 – As part of the practical sessions of the course Political System of the Republic of North Macedonia, students from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, enrolled in the Social Work and Social Policy study program, conducted a study visit to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. The educational visit was organized under the mentorship of Full Prof. Imrane Morina, Ph.D., and the delegation was warmly welcomed by the President of the Assembly, Mr. Afrim Gashi.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the functioning of the country’s legislative body, parliamentary procedures, and the chambers where laws are debated and adopted. As an added educational experience, students also attended a public parliamentary session, an experience which allowed them to observe one of the key elements of democratic governance and institutional transparency.

These practical experiences are of particular importance for the academic development of MTU students, reinforcing the principle that public institutions should remain open and accessible to the academic community and the young.

Mother Teresa University in Skopje extends its sincere appreciation to the President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Afrim Gashi, for his warm hospitality and his commitment to bringing students closer to the work and functioning of Macedonia’s Parliament.
