Skopje, January 22, 2026 – Today, the constituent session of the University Student Assembly was held at the premises of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, with the purpose of electing the new leadership that is to represent the voice of students within the university’s governing bodies.
In a democratic and cooperative atmosphere, the members of the Assembly unanimously elected Besar Sejdiu as the new President of the Student Assembly. The confidence placed in him was confirmed by 22 votes in favor and none against, demonstrating the unity and shared vision of the students for their academic future.
The University Student Assembly plays a key role at MTU, serving as a bridge between the students and the Rectorate. This cooperation is essential in supporting the university’s mission as a center for interdisciplinary science and scientific research.
With the election of the new leadership, Mother Teresa University in Skopje once again reaffirms its commitment to strong and active student self-governance. The newly elected President, Besar Sejdiu, is expected to lead initiatives that are to advance students’ rights, enrich cultural and sports life, and contribute to improving the quality of the teaching and educational process across all academic units of the university.
