The Rector of the “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje, Aziz Pollozhani, Ph.D., together with the guests of honor: the Executive Director of the Albiz Foundation, Mr. Besir Dernjani; the representative of the European Union Delegation in Skopje, Ms. Virve Vimpari, and the Director of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development, Mr. Jovan Despotovski have officially opened the Innovation Hub at the “Mother Teresa” University.

The Rector Aziz Pollozhani, Ph.D., during his welcome speech, congratulated the students, who will be able to use the center, and expressed gratitude to all those who have contributed to the opening of the Center. According to the Rector of the University, the Innovation Hub is a very beneficial initiative that shall serve as a link among knowledge, science and innovation. Moreover, Mr. Pollozhani emphasized that the Innovation Hub shall inspire, educate and motivate young entrepreneurs by providing appropriate training in order to create products and services with local, regional and international impact.

Mr. Besir Dernjani, Executive Director of the Albiz Foundation, appreciates this fruitful cooperation and expressed gratitude towards the representative of the European Union for the financial support.

Ms. Virve Vimpari, representative of the EU Delegation, and Mr. Jovan Despotovski, Director of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development, emphasized that they would strongly support such initiatives, which aim to increase capacities and create a sustainable society.

In collaboration with the Innovation and Technological Development Fund, the Innovation Hub aims to help potential entrepreneurs from the initial stage to foster innovative thinking, to create opportunities, to implement and to fund their ideas.
