Skopje, 16.06.2022 – Rector of the “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje Izet Zeqiri Ph.D., participated in the Exhibition with the works of the great painter Omer Kaleshi in collaboration with the National Gallery of North Macedonia.

The initiative, which is realized in collaboration with the family of Maestro Omer Kalesh, aims to commemorate his life activity, the works of art that raised him to the top of the art world elite.

Rector Zeqiri said in front of the audience: “Omer Kaleshi was one of the rare Albanian artists who became famous in many countries of the world with his special paintings and was honored by the French elite of visual arts and many other centers. He was honored by many institutions in North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. Omer Kaleshi was and remains a dignified name in the Albanian academicism, art and culture, and his name will be always honored and unforgettable “- said Zeqiri.

In the homage exhibition, which is open in Çifte hamam gallery for all those who admire visual arts, are displayed 30 of his oil paintings which are part of the ‘Omer Kaleshi’ Gallery, paintings gifted to ‘Mother Teresa’ University in Skopje. This exhibition will be open until the end of the month.
