Skopje, 14.02.2023 – “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje successfully completed the first day of training dedicated to academic and administrative staff on the topic: “Challenges of university development to meet the needs of new generations”.

During the training, the employees were informed about the development plans and the action strategy for 2023, as well as the data collected by the Office for Quality, from the semester work, where the regularity of holding lectures, the grade point average of each faculty and the students’ performance were surveyed.

Rector of MTU, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri Ph.D., in his presentation, said that “Mother Teresa” University is developing in the right direction, there have been successes in every direction, while the deficiency is in providing the best conditions for students, for the only reason that teaching process takes place in rented facilities.

Rector Zeqiri spoke about development challenges of MTU; about ways to move forward; how to develop a mindset to become a higher performing university; as well as increasing awareness of the need for excellent service and communication with students and staff as a prerequisite for their satisfaction and institutional commitment.

In this training, we had the chance to listen to the presentation of the Pro-Rectors; the President of the Senate, and the Director of the Office for Quality, who presented the best practices of teaching, learning, assessment, and the professors with the highest results from student evaluation, determined by student evaluation of the summer and winter semesters, of the academic year 2022-2023.

In the training, it was said that the “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje should be developed based on the environment that surrounds it, because based on its location in the center of the capital, with completely academic deficit areas, with three new faculties, including the Faculty of Human Sciences that offers study programs such as: Albanian, Macedonian and English language and literature, should be a serious competitor for every public, but also private university in the country.
