Skopje, October 10, 2023 – On the premises of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, in front of a large number of academic staff, guests, and students, the book “Russian Geopolitics in Eastern and Southeastern Europe” by the author Enver Bytyçi was successfully promoted.

The book launch welcomed the MTU rector, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., who, among other things, stated that “to talk about such extensive literature extremely dedicated to the details of geopolitical developments, for me as MTU rector is a great responsibility, but also it is a dedicated commitment for the author”. Also, Rector Zeqiri wished the panelists and attendees a constructive debate.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Agim Nuhiu, expressed gratitude for the book launch and congratulated the author on the brave publication, emphasizing that our country and the Balkans should be included in possible future editions.

“Many practical attributes that followed the journey of North Macedonia, such as legitimacy, legality, constitutionality, etc., in state processes often brought the non-alternative aspiration for NATO membership to the brink of collapse.”, stated Deputy Minister Nuhiu.

The author of the book, Lecturer Enver Bytyçi, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to Mother Teresa University in Skopje and its management for the dignified organization, and thanked all those present for their time, leaving a message to everyone “Increase your ambition for knowledge without thinking exactly wherever you go, wherever you go beyond what you’ve thought; only in this way we can strengthen ourselves and become actors, factors, and influence the geopolitics of the Balkans and impose our geopolitics with other geopolitics. Only with knowledge, with culture, and serious, systematic studies can we further achieve success”.

Lecturer Bytyçi elaborated in detail the idea and dedication of this scientific publication to the audience and stated “I started writing this book when Russia annexed the crime of 2014 and when the conflict started; from that moment on, I started archiving and summarizing material and factual literature, and everything needed to write the book. To write a book and do something good, it is not enough to just sit at the keyboard, but you need a colossal work, collecting, sketching to achieve something professional and essential”.

The book launch was hosted by the famous journalist from the Republic of Albania, Mrs. Mimosa Abrazhda, and it caused great interest among the present as a result of the state of development of geopolitics in the Balkan region as well as those under Russian influence in Europe from the eastern and southeastern region.
