Skopje, February 8, 2024 – Today, Mother Teresa University in Skopje signed a memorandum of cooperation with Necmettin Erbakan University in Konya, Türkiye, with the purpose to deepen cooperation, development, and mutual understanding in the field of education and research.

Based on the memorandum, the two universities are to cooperate in joint research projects and pilot projects, exchange of scientific and teaching staff, exchange of students, joint organization of seminars, conferences and workshops as well as exchange of scientific publications and other research materials of scientific and educational purposes.

With the memorandum signed by the Rector of MTU, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., and the General Secretary of Necmettin Erbakan University, Assoc. Prof. Hüseyin Zahit Selvi, Ph.D., there are to take place short-term visits of senior staff members for consultation, lectures, and project planning, as well as long-term visits of research and technical staff for training, for postgraduate studies or for participation in joint research projects, exchange of undergraduate or postgraduate students for practical work and participation in international programs, promotion of contacts with distinguished scientists from other academic centers in the respective countries, promotion of joint contacts with scientists from another third country for participation in wider international projects, as well as joint support for planning and implementation of visits in the respective countries countries.

The two universities are to provide financial support regarding the possibilities of each party or seek to secure funding from other national or international sources.
