Skopje, May 2025 – Students of the Faculty of Law at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, as part of the curriculum of the Family Law course, accompanied by Ass. Prof. Rudina Kaja, Ph.D., had a study visit to the public institution, the PI Inter-Municipal Center for Social Affairs of the City of Skopje.

During the visit, the students were welcomed by the head of the institution, Mr. Hamza Ameti, and the professional staff, who closely presented the functioning of the institution and its role in the social and legal protection of citizens.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the Department of Marriage and Family, where the students were informed about the legal procedures for reconciliation, custody, court decisions for children after divorce, and dealing with cases of temporary or extramarital custody. They were also introduced to the engagement of the Counseling Department and the Department for Protection against Domestic Violence, which provide professional assistance to individuals and families in crisis.

The visit was but a valuable experience for the students and helped them understand the practical application of legal concepts and the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in the protection of human rights and social welfare.
