Durrës, April 27, 2026 – As part of regional and international cooperation, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., participated as a panelist among invited academics at the International Week organized by the Faculty of Business at Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës.

In his address, MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., emphasized that inter-university cooperation and strategic partnerships represent a cornerstone of institutional development in contemporary higher education and highlighted the need for a fundamental transformation in the way universities mutually collaborate and engage with the industry, moving from formalities toward practical cooperation.

According to the Rector, successful collaboration models show that the success of academic partnerships today can no longer rely solely on formal memoranda, but rather on dynamic models that generate measurable value for all stakeholders involved. In this context, he identified the development of joint master’s study programs as a priority—one of the first concrete and measurable outcomes that MTU aims to achieve in its future collaborations with partner universities.

MTU’s participation in this dynamic event, which serves as a platform for exchanging ideas in teaching and scientific research, once again confirms MTU’s strong commitment to global engagement. Through direct interaction with international partners, MTU continues to prepare its students for success in a globalized world, while strengthening its role as an active and reliable partner in the European academic environment.

The visit also served as an excellent opportunity to strengthen professional ties between the two universities, with the aim of building lasting relationships that are to extend beyond this event and contribute to improving the quality of higher education across the region.
