Skopje/Tirana, June 2026 – Within the framework of his official visit to the Republic of Albania, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., held an important meeting with the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ms. Vilma Premti.
MTU Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by the President of the Mother Teresa University Student Assembly, Besar Sejdiu; the Secretary of the Student Assembly, Jasir Memedi; and Driton Zendeli, M.A., informed Ms. Vilma Premti and H.E. Denion Mejdani about the concrete steps undertaken by Mother Teresa University toward internationalization and the expansion of regional academic cooperation.
During the meeting, the MTU delegation presented MTU’s institutional achievements and its vision for strengthening academic mobility, with a particular focus on aligning study programs with European standards, positioning MTU as an important educational hub in the Balkans through academic diplomacy, and actively involving the University Student Assembly in internationalization projects and exchange initiatives with universities in Albania.
Deputy Minister Premti highly praised the commitment of MTU Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., and his team, reaffirming the support of the Albanian Government for initiatives that strengthen educational and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further deepen institutional relations in order to enhance the quality of higher education and promote European values.
