Skopje, June 15, 2026 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., held an official and highly productive meeting with the Minister of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro. The meeting was facilitated by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Skopje, H.E. Denion Mejdani, with the engagement and coordination of the President of the Mother Teresa University Student Parliament, Besar Sejdiu.

The bilateral meeting focused on strengthening academic and institutional cooperation, with particular emphasis on enhancing the mobility of students and academic staff between Mother Teresa University and higher education institutions in the Republic of Albania.

MTU Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., and the Minister of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro, shared the view that the exchange of academic experiences, the implementation of joint scientific research projects, and the free mobility of students and lecturers are key pillars for improving the quality of higher education and accelerating integration into the European Research Area.

During the meeting, MTU Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., expressed his sincere appreciation to Ambassador Denion Mejdani and the student representatives for their active role in facilitating this cooperation, emphasizing that Mother Teresa University in Skopje remains committed to creating new international opportunities for its students and staff.

For her part, the Minister of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro, expressed the Ministry’s full readiness to support concrete projects that promote academic mobility, recognizing Mother Teresa University in Skopje as a serious and strategic partner in the region.
