Skopje, February 24, 2025 – At Mother Teresa University in Skopje, the launching of the work programs of the rector candidates has officially begun, a process that marks an important moment for the academic and institutional future of the university.

Today, the two potential candidates for the rector position, Lecturer Bekim Fetaji, PH.D., and Lecturer Blerim Saiti, Ph.D., had the opportunity to present their work programs and visions for the further development of MTU to the faculty lecturers.

During the presentation, the candidates highlighted their priorities in key areas such as academic development and teaching quality, expanding international cooperation, supporting students and increasing opportunities for their professional engagement, improving infrastructure and digitalization of university services, and improving the conditions for scientific research and innovation.

This democratic process of promoting candidates aims to inform and involve the academic community in decision-making based on the programs and ideas that are to influence the direction of the university in the upcoming years.

Moreover, the candidates answered the lecturers’ questions and discussed the challenges and opportunities of MTU in the context of higher education in the country and the region.

The new rector voting, the third in a row at MTU, is to take place on March 12, 2025, which is to mark an important step in the development and the future direction of the university.
