Skopje, May 2025 – The Faculty of Law students studying at the Forensic Science Department and the Faculty of Economics students studying at the Customs, Forwarding, and Insurance Department at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, under the leadership of Lecturer Naser Etemi, Ph.D., made a study visit to the Service Dog Unit, which operates within the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia.

The aim of the visit was to strengthen theoretical knowledge through practical experience, providing students with the opportunity to become closely acquainted with the professional procedures for training dogs serving in security and customs institutions.

During the visit, representatives of the Service Dog Unit staged a practical demonstration of the dogs’ abilities to identify narcotics, explosives, unclaimed money, and other prohibited items. It was a unique experience for the students, which provided a full understanding of the importance of the collaboration between technology, training, and canine instinct in the investigation and prevention of crimes.

MTU thanked the Service Dog Unit for their hospitality and professional preparation for the visit, which significantly enriched the academic and practical preparation of our students.
