Skopje, June 19, 2025 ‒ The Rector of the Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer, Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., welcomed on a working meeting a high-ranking delegation from the Islamic Religious Community in the Republic of North Macedonia, led by Reis ul Ulema Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetahu.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and were discussed opportunities for deepening inter-institutional cooperation and mutual support in areas of common interest.

Reis ul Ulema Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetahu expressed his most heartfelt congratulations to the Rector Lecturer, Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., on the occasion of assuming his new position as the new rector of MTU. He also emphasized the important role of this institution for the community and its role in the education and formation of younger generations.

During the meeting, Rector Fetaji was accompanied by the Vice-Rectors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fati Iseni, Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Diturije Ismaili, the Secretary General, Pishtar Lutfiu and Senate member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Argëtim Saliu. The Rector expressed gratitude for the visit and high appreciation, emphasizing the University’s readiness for cooperate in educational, cultural, and scientific projects that aim the advancement and inclusion of students and the wider community.

The meeting concluded with mutual willingness for continued cooperation and the realization of new initiatives that will contribute to strengthening the role of MTU as an inclusive and socially engaged institution.
