Skopje, November 2025 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., participated in the evaluation session of the proposed Higher Education Strategy 2026–2032, a process aimed at defining the direction of development for higher education in the Republic of North Macedonia for the upcoming years.

At the meeting, extensive discussions were held on key issues such as the development of education, research, and innovation; human resources; the need for building academic capacities; educational infrastructure; the financing model in higher education; and international projects as an important mechanism for transferring knowledge to the economy and society.

Representing MTU, in addition to Rector Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D. was also present, with both contributing their expert proposals regarding the improvement of quality in higher education and the need for modernization of the strategy.

The debate emphasized the importance of continuous reforms to address contemporary challenges and ensure a higher quality, competitive, and innovative educational system for the country.
