Skopje, February 2,  2026 – Today, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., held a working meeting with the Acting President of the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia (ECNWM), Mr. Nuhi Aliu.

At the meeting, MTU Rector, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., was accompanied by the team of Vice-Rectors: Assoc. Prof. Bujamin Bela, Ph.D.; Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D.; and Assoc. Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D., while Mr. Nuhi Aliu was accompanied by the Executive Director of ECNWM, Mr. Durim Zekiri. During the meeting, a productive dialogue was conducted on the need for direct and systematic linkage of higher education with the real demands and needs of the business sector.

The parties agreed to establish joint working groups at the institutional level, with the aim of integrating the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia into the new curricula in all eight faculties of Mother Teresa University, as well as substantially strengthening practical teaching and professional training for students in accordance with their study profiles.

The cooperation is to enable the implementation of professional and vocational internships in companies that are members of ECNWM, the organization of Business Fairs and Innovation Days to promote entrepreneurship, as well as the utilization of research activities and scientific papers of second-cycle (master’s) students as practical and applicable solutions to real challenges faced by industry.

The meeting between Mother Teresa University and the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia aims to create a sustainable synergy in which academic knowledge and economic practice are united to develop highly qualified professionals who are to be drivers of the country’s innovative and economic development.
