Skopje, April 14, 2026 – Mother Teresa University in Skopje organized an informational and information session dedicated to scholarship programs and academic exchange opportunities offered by the Government of the United States of America.
The event was opened by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., who, on behalf of Mother Teresa University, welcomed the representatives of the U.S. Embassy and emphasized the importance of the programs for the professional development of MTU students and academic staff.
During the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to hear from the Alumni Program Coordinator at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, Mr. Gazmend Ilazi who provided a detailed explanation of the application process, criteria, and benefits of the various scholarship programs, encouraging students to become part of the prestigious network of the U.S. alumni.
At the event, we also had the honor of hearing from Mr. Charles M. Santiago Morales, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy who shared valuable insights into the role of public diplomacy in strengthening relations between the two countries and highlighted the importance of educational exchange experiences.
One of the highlights of the session was the interactive discussion, in which students and professors exchanged ideas with the guests. Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Isak Idrizi, Ph.D., also shared their personal experiences from their studies and research visits in the United States, highlighting the transformative impact these programs have on one’s academic career.
