Skopje, May 2026 – As part of the cooperation between the academic community and security institutions, students from the Faculty of Law at Mother Teresa University in Skopje attended a professional presentation on the use of the polygraph as a technical tool in investigative procedures.

The lecture was attended by students from the study programs in Criminalistics and Customs, Freight Forwarding, and Insurance. The presentation was conducted by representatives of the National Security Agency, who introduced modern methods of using the polygraph in the investigation and clarification of criminal offenses.

The activity was organized under the supervision of Full Prof. Naser Etemi, Ph.D., as an integral part of courses dealing with the methodology of criminal investigation and crime detection. During the presentation, students had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the practical use of the polygraph in the field, its role as an auxiliary tool in the operational phase of collecting evidence and indications, as well as the analysis of specific cases where the technology contributes to the efficiency of law enforcement authorities.

This visit by national security experts represents an important bridge between theory and practice, enabling students to better understand the application of theoretical knowledge in real operational situations and preparing them for future professional challenges within security and justice institutions.
