The Faculty of Information Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje successfully hosted the technology event GitHub Copilot Dev Days 2026, dedicated to artificial intelligence and its application in modern software development.

The event was organized on the initiative and through the commitment of Assoc. Prof. Fisnik Doko, Ph.D., a professor at the Faculty of Information Sciences at MTU and a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), through collaboration between the Albanian Azure User Group and the Macedonian .NET Community.

During the event, participants were also welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Information Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Majlinda Axhiu, Ph.D., who expressed her support for organizing activities that connect academic knowledge with contemporary technological developments.

Throughout the event, students and participants had the opportunity to learn about GitHub Copilot, an artificial intelligence-powered tool that assists developers throughout the programming process.

The event included technical presentations, practical demonstrations, and a workshop during which participants applied their newly acquired knowledge to real-world programming challenges, using GitHub Copilot to generate code and create pull requests.

This activity represents an important step toward strengthening collaboration between the Faculty of Information Sciences, technology industry professionals, and developer communities.

Through initiatives such as this, the Faculty Information Sciences at Mother Teresa University in Skopje will continue to promote innovation, the development of students’ practical skills, and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into education and professional development.
