Skopje, November 2025 – Students from the Criminology study program at the Faculty of Law at Mother Teresa University in Skopje, from the second and third year, took part in a visit and practical training at the Ilinden Barracks, as part of the subjects Armed Forces and Equipment and Weapons Training, and Criminology. The hosts of the activity were the Military Police Battalion and the Rangers Battalion, with excellent organization provided by the Non-Commissioned Officer Kire Simonovski.

The students, led by Assoc. Prof. Muhamet Racaj, Ph.D., retired Major General, and Assoc. Prof. Argëtim Saliu, Ph.D., had the opportunity to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge about the types, characteristics, and functioning of infantry weapons, equipment, and technical resources used by military units, standard procedures for disassembling, assembling, and using weapons, under the supervision of professional instructors.

As part of the demonstration of forensic techniques by the Military Police Battalion, led by NCO Aliev, the students conducted practical exercises in blocking and securing the crime scene, examining and documenting various traces, and obtaining fingerprints using magnetic powder, following standard investigative procedures.

This practical activity was assessed as highly successful, directly contributing to strengthening the professional competencies of the Criminology students.
