Skopje, July 23, 2026 – Today, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., hosted an official meeting in his office with the President of the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) in Tirana, Full Prof. Ramiz Zekaj, Ph.D.

The focus of this friendly and institutional meeting was a discussion on opportunities for academic, scientific, and technological cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

During the meeting, the two university leaders exchanged views on the development of joint scientific research projects in the fields of technology, innovation, and social sciences; opportunities for student and academic staff mobility between MTU and CIT; and the organization of international conferences and academic activities of mutual interest.

The meeting also highlighted the particular importance of the historical fact that the first official cooperation agreement between CIT and MTU dates back to the tenure of the MTU’s first Rector, Full Prof. Aziz Pollozhani, Ph.D. This long-standing academic connection represents a solid foundation for reaffirming and further strengthening institutional bridges of cooperation in the future.

The Rector of Mother Teresa University, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by Mr. Driton Zendeli, thanked Full Prof. Ramiz Zekaj, Ph.D., for the official visit, which aimed to advance the quality of education and open up new opportunities for students.

For his part, the President of CIT, Full Prof. Ramiz Zekaj, Ph.D., congratulated MTU Rector Fetaji on the achievements of Mother Teresa University and highly commended MTU’s commitment to development and scientific advancement in the region.
