Skopje, October 10, 2024 – On this day, the Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Lecturer Izet Zeqiri, Ph.D., welcomed the Deputy President of the Government in Charge of Good Governance, Arben Fetai, and the prominent expert in the field of political science, Mr. Jean-Michel De Waele from Belgium.

Rector Zeqiri and Ass. Prof. Arta Xhelili, Ph.D., at the working meeting with Deputy President of the Government Fetai, Lecturer Jean-Michel De Waele, Ph.D., and the government advisers Omer Ajdini and Ilir Osmani, discussed the opportunities that MTU offers students who continue their studies at its university campus, as well as the development of higher education quality, and the common challenges and achievements from the establishment until today.

Deputy President of the Government in Charge of Good Governance, Arben Fetai, thanked Rector Zeqiri and MTU staff for their full commitment in academic collaborations, while Lecturer Jean-Michel De Waele, as a Doctor in Political Science and a lecturer at many international universities, congratulated the management for the possibility of the public teaching on the subject of political sciences and commitments for the development of higher education in the country and the international sphere.

Ass. Prof. Arta Xhelili, Ph.D., as a representative of the MTU Erasmus+ academic staff, disclosed information about the development of this program within the framework of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, as well as about the close cooperation with universities from abroad that serve as promotion and quality for the study programs.

After the official meeting, Deputy President Arben Fetai and Lecturer Jean-Michel De Waele, Ph.D., along with Rector Zeqiri, visited the Omer Kaleshi Gallery and the University Library. Immediately after the visits, a public lecture was delivered on the topic of “EU Integration and Rule of Law: Lessons from Previous Enlargement Reports.”  Present were the students majoring in Political Science.
