MTU continuing to strengthen its international research engagement through participation in European scientific collaborations

MTU is pleased to announce that Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for International Relations, has been accepted as a participant in two prestigious European research networks funded by the program of COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology. These networks bring together researchers, universities, and institutions from across Europe to collaborate on research addressing major societal and economic challenges.

Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., joins the COST Action CA24167 – HUMAN-IT (Disruptive Innovation and Exponential HRM: Crafting Next-Gen Employee Experience, Workplace and Job Market). This Action focuses on the impact of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies on human resource management and the future of work. The project aims to develop interdisciplinary approaches to understanding how technological innovation reshapes workplaces, employee experience, and labor markets.

The HUMAN-IT Action is to run from October 2025 until October 2029 and is to involve researchers from a wide range of European institutions. Within this network, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., is to contribute as a member of the Working Group 3 – Social Transformations, Policy and the New Job Market.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., has been accepted as a participant in the COST Action CA22120 – LeverAge, titled LeverAge: A European Network to LeverAge the Multi-Age Workforce. This research network addresses the challenges and opportunities associated with age-diverse workforces in Europe, focusing on organizational practices, sustainable careers, and inclusive labor market policies.

The LeverAge Action runs from October 2023 until October 2027 and brings together multidisciplinary researchers from fields such as management, organizational psychology, sociology, and labor studies. Within this Action, Assoc. Prof. Diturije Ismaili, Ph.D., is to participate in:

· Working Group 1 – Work and organizational practices for a multi-age workforce; and

· Working Group 4 – Aging and technology at work.

Through participation in these two COST Actions, MTU strengthens its presence in European research networks and expands opportunities for international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint research initiatives related to the future of work, digital transformation, and sustainable workforce development.
