Skopje, May 4, 2026 – The Rector of Mother Teresa University in Skopje, Full Prof. Bekim Fetaji, Ph.D., accompanied by the Vice-Rectors Full Prof. Sani Demiri, Ph.D.; Full Prof. Fati Iseni, Ph.D.; and members of the academic staff, attended the official opening of SKOPJE 2026 Albanian Book Fair. This significant cultural event was organized for the first time at Skenderbeg Square in Skopje, under the patronage of the Municipality of Cair and in cooperation with the Institute for Book and Promotion, becoming an important hub for cultural and academic communication.
Within the framework of the fair, today, MTU opened its stand for the dedicated readers, students, and education enthusiasts. At the stand, numerous scientific publications, university textbooks, periodicals, and academic papers were presented, reflecting years of research work by the professors and researchers of MTU.
To meet the visitors’ needs and promote a love for books and knowledge, MTU undertook a noble initiative – all books displayed at the stand were given away free of charge, allowing every book lover and student to receive a free copy as a symbolic gift from our University.
The successful promotion of the stand and the presentation of these high-value academic publications were carried out under the care and direct engagement of Elmjesa Ameti Azizi from the MTU University Library and Besir Ibishi, M.Sc. from the Protocol and Public Relations Department. They ensured that visitors were thoroughly informed about the publishing activities of our institution.
During the first day of the fair, numerous lecturers from different faculties of MTU joined MTU’s stand. They engaged in open discussions and exchanged opinions, ideas, and academic reflections with readers, students, and interested citizens.
